Default midi banco punto \\bunco punto.????

the local casino offers that game.there is also in the high limit area a banco punto table.I don't know why on the low limit is called midi banco punto but I have to mention the difference.(maybe because of the stakes). The point is that this game is using a shoe with multiple decks. What does the community knows about this game?,Is beatable?.I have nothing in my bibliography about this and D.Sklansky does not mention anything in the ''Getting the best of it''.

Banco Punto is a form of baccarat. John May mentions it in Baccarat for the Clueless (although I didn't read that chapter because the game is not offered where I live). I will read it and then post some info later today.

Edit - From what I read (it was a short section, not a chapter) Punto Banco is the American form of baccarat (the traditional form of European baccarat is Chemin de Fer). Apparently they do offer the game where I live but they don't call it Punto Banco. You listed your location as Europe so that could explain why it is called Banco Punto (translated literally to Bank/Player) The difference between the game in high limit and the "midi" game is probably that in the midi game the dealer is the only person who touches the cards (North American mini-baccarat) and in the high limit game the player can see the cards first (which usually results in bending, ripping or disfiguring the cards is disgust).

This is my understanding. Talk to the pit bosses to get the rules of the game (when the bank draws etc) and compare it to the mini-baccarat rules that are available online. As for strategy if this is baccarat (is it beatable) - read some of the baccarat threads in this forum. The bank bet in this game has some of the best odds in the casino.

Midi is played at a black jack sized table, normal punto is at a bigger punto table. Sometimes the rules are different when it comes to the rake
