The last two recommendations are excellent choices. And "Catch Me You Can" really was so much better than the movie.

While travelling for the holidays I picked up "Best Crime Stories of 2006" in an airport bookstore, and it was great light reading. So if anybody needs something for the plane or the bathroom, I recommend it.

These are decent books too, The Napoleon of Crime: The Life and Times Of Adam Worth, Master Thief. He was a famous thief in old London. Another is The General, about Martin Cahill, an Irish crime boss but really a thief who pulled off some famous art/jewel/gold heists. That book is more about his life, there's another I haven't read yet called The Irish Game that I think is just about the art heist. The General is also a movie that I really like.
I read a cool book last year about these soccer hooligans/international thieves/rogues that was good. They were known as the takeaway firm, but google isn't turning up anything, I've forgotten the title and the book is lent out. It's worth trying to track down though. |

I thought Prince of Thieves was excellent.
Also, Boyos was written by a former Mass. State Trooper who went to jail for robbing armored cars. |
