Flop could not be any more standard.

Sometimes I go for a bet / 3 bet line here but in such a low buy in I think you are getting called too often if he raises the flop and you 3 bet it. I like the check raise a lot to push him off of air.

Preflop is marginal but with all of the dead money and the knowledge that this guy will open with J8o and then get his stack in with middle pair no kicker this is an easy call.

You were a 59/41 favorite when the money got in plus there was dead money in the pot and you had fold equity.

In the future do not post the results of the hand. Also please use a hand converter (like the one found here: http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com...Converter.php) so that we get to see pretty [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]s instead of ugly text.

Welcome to the forums!

Thanks, although I was quite satisfied with my play here as well, some other people told me it was very weak. Since I know there's a lot of knowledge here at the forums, I decided to ask you for you opinions.

Concerning the results and icons, I will do that in the future.

pre-flop - that's fine. you've got the odds to call, especially with the antes.

flop - standard. you've got a billion outs. An alternative would be to re-raise to 6k - it looks more like a serious bet, and then obviously call a push.
