Re: Unit to D\'Backs
luis vizcaino must be the designated throw-in to every year's big offseason trade.

[ QUOTE ]
if the yankees dumped him without paying too much salary, then cashman deserves gm of the year [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Arizona would send relief pitcher Luis Vizcaino to the Yankees along with minor league right-handers Ross Ohlendorf and Steven Jackson, and shortstop Alberto Gonzalez, another baseball official said, also on condition of anonymity. The Yankees also would pay between $1.5 million and $2 million of Johnson's $16 million salary this year. [/ QUOTE ] link |

Re: Unit to D\'Backs
Nate wrote last week that RJ might be the best Yankee pitcher in 07. his peripherals were good last year, and he was probably unlucky.
one example from his analysis "Johnson’s BABIP with the bases empty was .239. With runners on, it was .369. This is almost certainly a matter of luck." |

Re: Unit to D\'Backs
Yeah, David Gassko at THT had RJ as the most unlucky pitcher last year according to DIPS 3 in . this article from last week.

Just because they're vastly different doesn't mean that the bad number is the anomaly.
