[ QUOTE ] Yeah basically, For example, you take 500 songs from computer A. You take your ipod and plug it into computer B. You have it on manual so you can take whatever songs from B and place them on your iPod along with songs from A. [/ QUOTE ] Um, but let's pretend you don't have "Computer B." Can you use both iPods and maintain separate libraries on one computer? [/ QUOTE ] yeah. one big main itunes library on the computer, and each ipod has a separate library, separate playlists, and so on. Say: one ipod for hip hop, one for metal. computer has all your hip hop and metal stored, then you put it on the separate ipods and go from there. Edit: in other words, each ipod has it's own library independent of the computer. you have to use manual setting to do this though, or it just takes the whole library automatically. Also, if you haven't already, learn to make playlists on the ipods. my friend had to show me this a few months ago because i was an ipod n00b. |

Quite wrong.
You can download a small program such as CopyPod to your computer which will allow you to transfer music/videos just like iTunes, but without the fuss. Or if you're savvy, you could install ipod Linux (which now allows you to play videos on your nano as I understand it...only in raw AVI format though). |
