Maybe two pair. So how would you handle this situation ? |

Arrrr in [/ QUOTE ] I agree with your reads, AK and straight/combo draws are possible too. Given his stack size he is call your c/r ai no matter what and you are well ahead of his range. |

Agreed. I would push it all in the middle.

Re: NL 25: AK - Shove Turn ?
I bet he has a set of 8s. His AF scares the [censored] out of me. Normally I'd be all for the all in, but man, 0.8 minraising the flop - yikes.
Its kind of a [censored] flop to minraise bluff too. I think your ahead of KJ here and behind a set of 88s and Jacks... I doubt its possible for him to have AJ even....Confused at why he'd bet that amount with a draw. Confused at why he'd even bet a draw. |

Re: NL 25: AK - Shove Turn ?
i don't mind getting all in because there are so many two pair combinations here (KJ, J8, etc). his bet size on the turn shows his confidence in the hand is possibly waning.

Re: NL 25: AK - Shove Turn ?
Is checking the turn better than donking? Donking seems to kind of give away the strength of our hand, but the board is pretty drawy ...
btw, all you europeans that use a , instead of a . (villian's AF) ... you guys freak me out. |

his bet size on the turn shows his confidence in the hand is possibly waning. [/ QUOTE ] How so? On the flop, the villain showed a propensity for raising the minimum, why does a small bet on the turn necessarily mean his confidence is waning? |

Re: NL 25: AK - Shove Turn ?
because it's pretty small. maybe he's scared of the possible straight on the turn now. i'm not ignoring the possibility of a set here, but this just smells like two pair. it seems he want to protect his hand on the turn but doesn't want to bet too much to protect it because he realizes he doesn't have the nuts or the ace. i think his bet would be a little larger with a set than with two pair, given that he probably doesnt have top two.
since he didn't take the free card on the turn, i don't put him on a flush draw. |
