Re: Kramer from Seinfeld
I don't really see the love for the Titleist line. It was such a telegraphed joke, and the audience is laughing so much at George producing the ball that the line gets somewhat drowned out.
George has three lines waaaaaaay better than that in the preceding minute : 'the sea was wild that day my friends' 'i tell ya he was ten stories tall if he was a foot' 'i tell you jerry....at that moment......i was a marine biologist' |

Re: Kramer from Seinfeld
[ QUOTE ]
Kramer is the single greatest character in the history of television. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I don't really see the love for the Titleist line. It was such a telegraphed joke, and the audience is laughing so much at George producing the ball that the line gets somewhat drowned out. George has three lines waaaaaaay better than that in the preceding minute : 'the sea was wild that day my friends' 'i tell ya he was ten stories tall if he was a foot' 'i tell you jerry....at that moment......i was a marine biologist' [/ QUOTE ] There are funnier Kramer lines but the combination of the look on his face plus his voice cracking at that very moment makes it for a very funny retort. |

Re: Kramer from Seinfeld
I don't know if I could rank the Seinfeld characters myself. My take on the show is that they all play off each other so well and the stories have them interfering with each other all the way through.
It would be like asking me what is my favorite ingredient in a pecan pie. Sure, pecans are the only really obvious ingredient, but without the other ingredients they are just nuts. |

[ QUOTE ]
Also, why does the audience always cheer wildly when he first enters an episode, whereas they don't do the same for Elaine (decent character) and George (very funny)? [/ QUOTE ] The sound you heard isn't actually people clapping, is it? I mean, it's some guy with a button labeled "Applause". -Sam |
