Turn scare card gives me trips
Is this too weak?
KK UTG. I raise, CO (TAG who knows how to give up when it looks like he's beat) three-bets, BB calls (loosish, passive-ish), I cap, they call. Flop is T94 with two spades. I don't have the Ks. BB checks, I bet, CO raises, BB calls, I threebet, they call. Turn is Ks. BB checks, I bet, CO calls, BB raises, I call, CO folds. I plan to show it down as cheaply as possible unless I fill. I might find a fold if another spade comes I suppose. How's that? Guy. |

Re: Turn scare card gives me trips
Looks good to me. Passive player raising the turn in a protected pot is gonna have the flush or straight a lot here. Ofcourse he could have a flopped set or twopair, but calling down looks best. Dunno if I can fold if another spade hits. Do we trust this guy not to bet a lower set or two pair on the river? I don't know.

Is this too weak? [/ QUOTE ] Any further aggression on your part would be absolutely criminal. If the board doesnt pair, call and expect to lose almost always. Whether or not a 4th spade falls shouldnt be too relevant here in my opinion because a call is only to protect against a maniacal overplay of a lower set or two pair on big blind's part. I would spend (in other words piss away) one river bet regardless. Cartman |

[/ QUOTE ] I like this. If the CO comes along on the turn then folding to a fourth spade is obvious I suppose. Easy when you think about it. Guy. |
