I'm shoving the turn. Button has enough chips where he is calling with a king or flush draw. And if either one of them happened to have an ace, they'd instacall.

This is fine, though I'd rather shove the turn. Button seems to like his hand enough to call, and if SB is on a flush draw he might call thinking his odds are too good to fold. I think any hand SB calls with on the river will also call the turn.

Nice hand. You got someone to call you all the way down. I find no fault with the optimal outcome.

It sounds like you were playing from the gut and your gut was telling you to call this guy down (no raising -- don't want to scare him) and that he'd call your push on the river.

Sounds like you had a conscious/unconscious read here.

As played until the turn check... I just love a turn check min-raise. Ha, but I probably would have led the flop/turn just because any time I check in a limped pot, it checks around. And you def. want to build a pot here. Worked out this time though.

i dont think the line is "bad" but the fact is these types of players given the action would also pay you off at an earlier point in the hand, so i dont think it matters a *whole* lot. sometimes i lead into these types of players...meh

I'm shoving this turn too or at least raising it. I think you get more action from A's, K's and flush draws this way.

You'll get less action on the river from an A or K if the Flush hits.

Mike, given some of the responses here, did you have a read on this guy?... instinctively. While the checking seems bad from a pure/no-read perspective, if you have a read... it really could be the right play. I might be giving more credit than due , but it looks like you had a read.

"Standard" plays really go out the window if you have a read on your opponent.

I like how you played this pot because you were against 2 players. I would probably checkraise the turn against 1 player since some river cards might shut down your action.

However, against 2 players 1 of them is likely to be on the flush draw so I like keeping them both in expecting to stack one of them on the river if the flush materializes, and maybe stack the other if it doesn't.
