I haven't actually read any bad Two Plus Two books yet, but then I only have seven of these books.

I can't help but wonder as to your motivation behind this post. By the way, Mat and I each voted for The Theory of Poker.

Best wishes,
Mason

Dear Mason,

I am the resident dissident. Everybody gushes about two plus two. How could WE not? Sklansky and Malmuth are the Lennon and McCartney of poker...

I often voice my considered criticism of two plus two. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the tolerance you have shown me.

It interested me to see just what we your customers actually thought were the worst books you have published. This information may or may not have some commercial value for you...

Allow me to quote my original post(italics and bold added):

Of course, none of the books may be objectively bad. In a room full of billionaires a millionaire is a pauper...

Personally, I am devastated that someone could think Fundamentals Of Poker the worst book you have published. It is a wonderful book aimed at beginners and gets to the essence of each game it briefly covers.

Yours truly,

Al Mirpuri.

I don't see the option to vote for the Video Poker book by Mason and Lynne Loomis though (which I actually have)

[/ QUOTE ]

I made the executive decision my creating the poll that video poker was not poker. Sorry.

I was going to vote for Theory of Poker but then Mason and Mat beat me to it.

[/ QUOTE ]

I have to admit to being surprised by the amount of votes TOP gained. I can only think that people own the earlier versions which perhaps were not as well edited as later editions.

I wish I could view the poll without voting. Any vote I made would be a disservice to the book in question.

[/ QUOTE ]

Dear Jeff76

I am not asking you to burn the flag...

Mason Malmuth and Matt Sklansky have voted...

Please vote and do not deny yourself the pleasure of viewing the stats.

Yours sincerely,

Al Mirpuri.

..."Poker Truth And Poker Farce".

[/ QUOTE ]And Harrington's "Hold'em Expert Strategy for No Limit Tournaments" is probably the worst book about Italian neo-realist cinema.

Books should be judged according to their intended purpose. Otherwise we would say that "War And Peace" is a bad poker book; "Gardening Tips From Mr Greenthumb" is a very bad poker book; "Blackjack Attack" is a very bad poker book. However, all those titles are excellent in their field. "Poker Truth And Poker Farce" may or may not be a bad book per se, but it should not be judged as if intended to teach about poker the way other 2+2 titles intend to.

Mickey Brausch

PS For those who itch to point out poker analogies and the 'lessons that can be drawn' from such books, don't bother.

Poker Tournament Strategies

[/ QUOTE ]

I think I remember something similar to this (not a poll though) being done a while back. If I recall correctly Tournament Poker Strategies won by a landslide.

[/ QUOTE ]

the Suzuki book? Not sure since I burned mine. (literally. I needed the heat and that was the first book to come to mind)

Yes, it really is a piece of crap. The bastard child of the whole set. I'm still pissed I spent money on it.
