Default Harrington on hold\'em volumeIII(workbook)

I am new to poker just doing some home work on this book I got as a gift.The problem is in his book he talk's about player's at the table have a "M" of 16.Can anyone help me with this I have no Idea what that means? [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

You should pick up the first two volumes.

There is a reason why they are named Episode 1, 2 and 3.

But to answer your question, M is the number of revolutions around the table you can survive with your current stack. For example, you have 2200 chips at a 10-person table and the blinds are 100/200 with a 25 ante. Your M is 4.

The players M is 16 because in Vol 1 he won a huge pot which he used to buy himself 12 levels of m-ness, in Vol 2 he had a bad time and lost loads but then right on the last page (hope this doesn't ruin it for you) he wins a huge 92 way all in and gets up to the uber level of M16 HoOaH

You have to pick up volume 1 and 2, not only to understand volume 3 but because they are a must read for anyone playing nl holdem tourneys.

i actually started with volume 3, and got vol. 1 and 2 about a week later...

m is just your stack divided by the small blind, big blind and any ante added together...
