Default $16: good fold or weak play?

Started playing a few sngs after a bit of a break and not really into the swing of things. Looking for help on this as i feel i was beat but played badly. No reads on the player in question

6 handed blinds are 50/100 starting stack was 2000

button has 4k, sb has 5.5k, I have 1.5k everyone else has ~2k

I raise utg t300 with QQ and get called only by sb

flop K99 rainbow
sb bets 200
i call

turn A
sb bets 400
I fold

I feel like I gave up to easily but i dont feel i can beat anything. I called on the flop as I felt I could still be ahead and to see what happened on the turn. The only turn card i was worried about was an A, as if i was ahead on the flop thats the only card that would outdraw me on the turn, except a possible gutshot J10 type hand.

I think my hand was second best but feel i played it pretty bad. Any help appreciated

I think this is a standard fold... since there was no reads.... good fold imo.

Really don't understand your flop play.
SB bet 200 n a 700 pot and you flat call? why?
If he was looking for an A and you were scared of an A...well you gave him all the chances to catch it!
Go for a big reraise or even shove.

I meant I was trying to play the hand out as cheaply as possible, and was only worried about 4 cards in the deck. At the time I felt a shove would only get called by better hands and fold out any hands like low pp pairs that i have beaten. Looking at it now a push looks a better option as I'm not deep enough to call or make any other raise. Do others agree its a push/fold?

if hero reraises and villain has a 9 or a K you're drawing to 2 outs. not so good. this hand read dependent I guess... we need a second opinion.

Which kind of analisys is this?
Problem here is: 200 out of 700 is a suck out bet or a probe bet? the only way to know is raising or pushing.

betting 200 in a 700 pot does look like a probe bet. reraising leaves you committed to shove. but the thing is... with this play you're suggesting is it standard?

if he had a king or nine, the SB probably woulndt bet first since u raised a considerable amount preflop. Hed prolly check call the flop and check raise the turn. What do you think about that?
