this is virtually impossible for NL cash game players

High stakes SNGs is the way to go

[/ QUOTE ]

This can certainly be done playing NL cash games if you're a multitabling grinder. 400NL SH earns an average of 75 points per table hour. If you 8 table, you're earning an average of 600 points per table hour. At 40 hours per week, that's 24000 VPP per week which means you'd hit SNElite in 42 weeks. That leaves two and a half months to recover from the poker-induced labotomy.

At Nova status, you get about $6k in hook ups (last I calculated) for the $7k in rake and approx. 30% rakeback there after. I guess that mean 1FFP is approx to 8% rakeback, so a bonus of 400% would be about 40% rb.

I was looking at the Supernova information page--what "hookups" do you get that are worth 6K just for hitting supernova? I didn't see anything that looked at all like that.

Thanks!

Does anyone know if you reach SNE can you just cash out for those 3 tournament entries, or do you have to play them?

Thanks,
-BK

If they wanted to give you cash, they'd give you cash.

Playing 2-4 limit, do I even have a shot at thinking about reaching Supernova, let alone SE?

Just figure out how many points you earn an hour. I'd imagine you'd need around 1000 hours 4 tabling. You will never get anywhere close to being SNE even if they let you have an extra year to get the points.

2-4 6 max each table is worth about 45 VPP Per Hour
So 360 Per Hour 8 tabling = 2,777 hours of 8 tabling needed for elite status. Which equals 53 hours per week for 52 weeks.

4 tabling you will need to play 106 hours per week for 52 weeks. Good luck with that

I play 8 tables of 2-4 6 max and I estimate I will hit about 650K points for the year based on my play for the past 2 years. And I play almost 40 hours a week on Average

However I am guessing that the last 2 months of 2007 I will jump up to 5-10 6 max and 4 table it as hitting the 750K benchmark will net me an extra $7,500 in cash

For good old regular Supernova you cna make it by 4 tabling 10 hours per week for 52 weeks

Do you have any idea how many vpp's are earned per hour at 1/2 FR?

I'm looking to 12 table 1/2 FR roughly 50 hours a week and just wondering what yearly vpp target I'm look at.

Thanks

Doing a little more research I see that 2/4 has to reach a $1 pot for a vpp and 1/2 needs to reach $0.40 (dunno why they say that as it only goes in 25 increments). So 2/4 will earn vpp's at roughly the same rate as 1/2.

Also is it fair to say that 12 FR tables will earn the same vpp's as 8 6max tables roughly per hour?

So my target for vpp's will look about the same as yours for the year, maybe more as a play about 50 hours a week
