FT down again?

So strange. I lost my connection to FTP. Meanwhile, Stars was working just fine. A few minutes later, FTP comes back. It was apparent that the other players had not had problems. Not the first time this has happened to me. I don't know what to make of it.

As described in the Site Software, Skins & Networks forum, run a trace route when you get these disconnections.

To do that, jump to DOS and type:

tracert 66.212.235.130

When you do that a bunch of info comes up. You might find that one line number has a very high number and everything after that is also high. If this is what you see, then that upstream server is having problems.

Also with the trace route, if you see a lot of lines with stars in it, then you're missing packets and a phone call to your isp should be your next move.
