Re: Brag about Fantasy Football wins here.
I finished 3rd in the world in ESPN's Gridrion Challenge (Salary Cap FF where you can select different players each week)
BEAT : I had Warner and Stephen Jackson for Week 17 and switched it for Bulger and Ronnie Brown last second I would have won it all if I didn't do that |

Re: Brag about Fantasy Football wins here.
I missed the draft in this league and auto-drafted. 14 teams. I won the league with this lineup - has to be one of the worst lineups to win a championship.
QB - Garcia RB - Fast Willie RB - Gore WR - Furrey WR - Reche Caldwell WR - J. Cocherty TE - Wiggins K - J. Wilkins DL - Aaron Kampman LB - Farrior DB - Brian Dawkins HC - Mike Nolan |

Re: Brag about Fantasy Football wins here.
QB - Palmer, Grossman
RB - Steven Jackson, Gore, Dunn, Edgerrin James WR - Coles, Burress, Andre Johnson, Berrian TE - McMichael, Scaife (bleh, next year I'm taking Schleffer) PK - Keading TM - Broncos, Jaguars *jumpshot* BALLIN! -ahem- I started Grossman over Palmer during the midseason, but kept him benched by Week 12-13. If you picked one of Grossman's games at random, how many deviations from the mean is it? 8? 15? I picked up Frank Gore during the draft once he started passing Barlow during the preseason, and until he breaks his knees again he's a permanent fixture on the team. Edgerrin James is the runner-up for "least overall value but too good to waive" FF player, right behind Randy Moss. I shuffled my WR's around a lot, Burress was the only consistent starter but Berrian, Johnson, and Coles all got reps. Given the lower PPG totals of WRs, I actually liked having four unique WR2-WR3's and playing matchups versus an inflexible combination that has 3-5 tough games a season. TE's I botched horribly by waiving Ben Watson after week 6. Mistake, mistake, mistake; I ended up playing touch-and-go the rest of the season until I could land a fire-and-forget TE2 like McMichael. Scaife is filler. PK - Keading for 15 weeks, Stover during the bye TM - Jags most of the season, Broncos were picked up for a game or two vs. the Raiders. |

Re: Brag about Fantasy Football wins here.
2 leagues, 2 championships. No LT, LJ or Peyton on either team and the only common player was Plaxico.

I didn't get first, but I got third, good for $250 payday in a 15 team league.

I don't understand switching in Bulger last minute when they had nothing to play for, but hindsight is 20-20 obv. I had my most frustrating season ever, but did manage to win my league and finish on the bottom half of the leaderboard. A couple of things I'm wondering if you have the time to answer them: How much time did you put into your lineup each week? Did you just sit down and pound it out in 15 minutes on Tuesday morning or slowly develop it during the week? Did you use any pay sites or anything? Do you feel there is more skill required to win at salary cap style FF or regular draft style? How have you done at GC in the past? Congrats again. Hopefully you got a prize for your effort. |

Re: Brag about Fantasy Football wins here.
I usually do very well in both GC and BBC(With multiple LB finishes in both). I usually don't do my lineup until around Saturday, in fact one week I even forgot to do my lineup.(I think i had an RB on a bye too )
I could have easily won it all, but I kind of zoned out in the middle of the season and held onto Colston way too long. My strategy has been typically to start the best 2 RB plays, and have one cheap QB. I picked up LT at like 6.5 and held onto him for all of his huge stretch(dropped him for week 17) so he was a great value which probably helped alot. I had LJ and LT for almost every week and then I had Huard alot, and then later on Romo and Garcia. Also by having Colston as my TE(and had him locked in really cheap) allowed me to be really flexible and get the best available QB/WRs/Def etc. |

Re: Brag about Fantasy Football wins here.
Colston, LT and Romo helped a lot of people win leagues this year.

Re: Brag about Fantasy Football wins here.
Finished a few spots off the top 100 in The Sporting News salary cap game. Won a 30 team division and netted about $1350 in prize money between the league and the site.
