advice about vegas

at the end of this month i will be going out to vegas for an indetermined time. i was hoping that those who live/regularly visit migh point me in the right direction on a few things.
first of all i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about where to stay. ill be on a very tight roll and dont want to stay anywhere dangerous/filthy but am really not very picky. do any of the resonable hotel/casino offer any deals if you play x amount of hours? maybe there are some places with resonable weekly rates that are not to gruesome?
secondly i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as far as regularly running games that are especially good. i play all games but plan on focusing on both variations of holdem (i would like to play mixed games but dont have the roll to play the higher limit games.)
my default plan is to set up shop at the wynn or bellagio in the low limit no limit games and then see how things go. myunderstanding is that the wynns game is uncapped, is that correct?

Sahara has a monorail station gets you anywhere on strip
Stratosphere but you may want a car to go to casino's not sure how safe walking is late, loose nl there
Excalibur can be inexpensive

Those are my favorite cheap hotels.

Also, look for deals the week before.
