100 NL: Two AK hand line checks in multiway pots
Don't you just love it when you raise with AK and get multiple callers?
Hand 1: Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 9 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $57.50 Hero: $135.05 MP1: $104.15 MP2: $86.35 MP3: $98 CO: $71.50 Button: $101.80 SB: $115.55 BB: $98.50 Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is UTG+1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises to $3, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button calls, 2 folds. Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($13.5, 4 players) Hero checks, MP2 checks, CO bets $10, Button folds, Hero folds, MP2 folds. Reads: CO = loose, 50/40 over 20 hands but doesn't seem too horrid..likes to take stab at pots, only seen him show down semi-bluff once. MP2 = loves to flat call in position, loose-passive (35/10 over 25 hands). Doesn't seem too bad either. Is this ever anything but a check-fold? What if MP2 wasn't in the hand? Hand 2: Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 9 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $48.80 UTG+1: $119.05 Hero: $105 MP2: $152.55 MP3: $41.05 CO: $63.45 Button: $108.45 SB: $60.25 BB: $182.40 Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, Hero raises to $4, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, CO folds, Button calls, 2 folds, UTG+1 calls. Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($17.5, 4 players) UTG+1 checks, Hero checks, MP3 bets $4, Button calls, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls. Turn: 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($29.5, 3 players) Hero checks, MP3 bets $8, Button folds, Hero folds. Reads: MP3 = 50/14 over 14 hands, made big pure bluff that got called 1st hand on the table. Button = good TAG, will call with pretty wide range here (all PPs, scs and one-gappers, KTs etc). UTG+1 = very loose-passive (36/4 over 60 hands), can slowplay big hands (e.g. limped QQ after 1 limper from MP3). Flop: I can't really see betting out here on such a coordinated flop. Call due to odds for gutshot + overs (although the overs clearly aren't clean outs). Turn: don't have odds for gutshot, over outs are very suspect. Can't see anything other than a check-fold here. Are my lines in these hands ok? |
