Default Theory Q - pp in the blinds

a friend recently told me about the "5,10" rule as he calls it. basicly calling any and all pfr with a pocket pair if the call is 5% or less of effective stack.

although its a small sample size, i have found that if im caught oop with a small pocket pair i don't think im making enough $ to justify playing these pocket pairs.

bcs this situation pretty much only occurs in the blinds (obvious open raise utg --> button) i would like to know

1) how you play small pp preflop vs a raise with no callers

2) how do you extract when you hit a set on the flop, pot push? cr? cc and push turn etc.

Against a donk that is willing to give his money to me, I just call. Against a good player that has a wide raising range I raise/fold. Calling from blinds is like shouting "I have a small PP".

Depends so much on the villain and texture of the flop.
