Default Maybe interesting AA hand

Live 4/8 game 6 handed

Folds to me in the SB and I raise black Aces
BB calls.

Flop for 4SB: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
I check, BB checks.

Turn for 2BB: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
I check, BB checks.

River for 2BB: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
I bet, BB raises

Slowplay -- I figure he folds any hand which didn't hit a pair (which is probably most of his hands) and hoping he makes a stab at it thinking I'm scared and might fold any pair less than aces or paint, or hope he catches something. Also only backdoor flushes/straights available so I'm not worried about him hitting one of those. How many bets are we willing to put in without a cap on the river?

I'm fairly certain there will be some bias given the river action but meh.

This is a transparent donkey play. Take her to the felt.

Slowplay on flop is fine, but I would probably fire on the turn no matter what.

If you are saying there is no cap on the river, then I would lead and then raise 2 more times without the nuts.

I'm willing to put in 3 raises, and then I call the 4th time he raises me.

As per andyfox's "flopping quads" strategy, I'd bet the flop, check the turn, and usually bet the river. I'll be honest when I say I think the flop play here is dumb.

A) It looks like a slowplay.
B) The classic slowplay hope of "letting him catch up" doesn't apply on an A83 board.
C) Often players who call in the BB will make bad flop calls anyway.
D) It's going to be tough to get action on this board, period. You're missing bets when he flops something decent and when he decides to peel or call down light, but you're not gaining bets from him unless he's a habitual bluffer, and even then the value of that is mitigated severely by the fact that you'll check-call or checkraise the flop.

I bet the flop. You're going to pick up a good amount of bluffs on this particular flop IMO, especially live. Checking here is also an especially obvious red herring live as well.

After botching the flop, it probably doesn't matter much what you do on the turn because you likely won't get paid.

It would be difficult to not lose my entire stack on this hand if there is no cap on the river.
