Sam - not supposed to wash it but if you do, don't use soap. i believe you are just supposed to be careful about getting oily stuff on it. They are actually pretty fragile.

Cappy - looks solid. get a stone n00b...jk...but no for real.

dont worry about washing it, wait till it cools down, then scrape any excess crap off it with a spatula. the stone my dad uses is full of oil etc, just not food.

I've never had pizza stone pizza, but I have to say that pizza on the BBQ is the best, fastest and most delicious method, IMO.

yeah, still trying to figure out the temperature thing now that I'm cooking with a stone. The crust could have gone another few minutes, but the cheese was starting to burn on top.

I regret not using red onions. tomorrow's lunch has been set as philly cheese steaks.

here's a pic of AEKDBet choking a girl out at the bar the other night.

and my boss gator hunting...

AEKDBet's Chair,

If you got some of that gator from your boss, you could make a gator pizza.

no dice. he wouldn't share. he's pretty crazy for an old man...this is what he did one week for vacation. probably see him retiring in the next 3-4yrs.

octupi - I will have to give this a shot when I finally buy a place.

Million - I feel lucky to even be graced w/ AEK's presence. Lately its been hard pulling him away from the xbox...he's played ninja guaiden (sp?) for 6+ hours straight today. Shoot me an email. What are your plans for NYE? How is work going? and How are you adjusting to the Siricon Varrey?

spread some cornmeal on the stone.

[/ QUOTE ]

Use flour. Same non-stick effect without the smoke.

[/ QUOTE ]

Part of the desired effect from cornmeal is the texture.

[/ QUOTE ]

Bingo.
