do you find this picture a little creepy?
it just shows some iraquis watching the suddam hanging with little kids. i mean the kids don't know exactly what is going on, but why have them in such an eerie environment? it's disturbing to me. sometimes watching the people over there is like time traveling to the year 500.

They had televisions in the year 500? Wow!
And it's spelled Saddam. |

I don't think it's all that outrageous. Back in the day they used to hang children in England for petty theft and stuff. That seems much more creepy.

Since the police force was disbanded, militias roam the streets in most of the country outside the small green zone. Bombings, killings, abductions, violence and theft are the norm. There's barely a family anywhere that hasn't had someone die. Most kids have seen corpses, have been held up at gunpoint by armed men, and far worse. Some have seen family members killed. So seeing a hated former leader hang on television is like Sesame Street compared to what these kids experience in real life. [ QUOTE ] sometimes watching the people over there is like time traveling to the year 500. [/ QUOTE ] Dictator aside, Iraq was a modern, stable nation before it was bombed into the stone age. |

Re: do you find this picture a little creepy?
It should be noted that Iraq is more than Baghdad and Fallujah. I haven't been there but I doubt you're an expert on the subject either. There were plenty of shiite and kurdish children who went through incredible torture because of Saddam. I'd bet this family is happy he's gone even if things are bad in his absense.
