[ QUOTE ]
I think the 2 was fine because Iowa's FG kicker is so bad that two FGs by the Hawkeyes are not a likely outcome. The gain from 5 to 7 is huge compared to the loss from 6 to 5 there.

Good point. This is turning into a fun game, as I don't care about either team.

the lack of a holding call on that 3rd and 12 is inexcusable....the DE was held like crazy

Wow what a whiff on the holding call on the right tackle for Iowa. Wide open huge on the D-end. Lame.

Wow, that was a pretty sick cut right there. That was all the RB and backside of the line, the front side got owned there.

3rd time this game McCoy has thrown short of the first...not sure if that is him or the receiver

guess two FGs for Iowa is very possible...LOL

MT2R,

If you get a chance go back to that play where McCoy threw short and see if there was a deeper route beyond the first down marker. I think he was forced to checkdown, but I'm not sure. I'm just curious.

there was a deeper route, but I cannot get it on video. He might have been covered well.
