Default Internet Explorer Question

Is it possible to get rid of the URL and date that appear at the bottom of the page when printing a web page?

Not easily. Try using Firefox:

File menu, Page Setup. Edit the header/footer boxes. Click the question mark in the top right of the window and then click on the edit box to see the various options avaiable.

Firefox is far better, but this really isn't one of the reasons!
