High BB/100 Standard Deviation
I was looking through PT, and saw that my BB/100 Standard deviation was very high. About 21 dollars for every 100 hands for 25NL. Is this a big leak? What does it mean? What sort of leaks does this indicate in my game?

Re: High BB/100 Standard Deviation
just means your playing a high variance game i guess. Try to pot control more and not create huge pots with marginal hands such as top pair, medium kicker.

Re: High BB/100 Standard Deviation
Personally I've found 25NL to be more volatile in general than 10NL anyway. My standard deviation at 25NL is $30.79 per 100 hands, or 61.6 BB. My standard deviation at 10NL is $10.39 per 100, or 52 BB. Unfortunately my 25NL sample size is small compared to my 10NL sample size, but standard deviation does converge quickly.
Oh, this is 6-max, by the way. I'd echo the above advice, try to exercise pot control more often and get away from easily dominated hands when you come against resistance. |
