Nice poll, i'm not waiting 12 hours to vote. But yeah, some of these answers are horrific. Incubus is the thread's leading vote-getter? Really?

Anyway, I think I'd choose the beatles, possibly Dylan. The only current-era band that would come close to fitting the bill for me is Wilco.

I still don't understand why some people take time to hate on other peoples taste in music. Why the [censored] would I want listen to some band who's music I hate for the rest of my life?

van morriosn
elvis costello
beatles
vu
r.e.m.


i think that elvis wins, although van is a close, close secnod. elvis just has such a big catalogue (yes, van does too). his eclecticism (i don't think that this is a word. one can be an eclectic, or something can be electic as and adjective, but i don't think taht there is a noun form other than a personal descriptive noun (god damn, forgot the right word there)) just wins him over.
