Default NL25 ok, NL50 ko: why?

Please, can someone give me some hints about how to improve my game: it seems to me that I play both of them in the same way.
Thanks in advance!

Please dont expect serious hints from other posters. The only one Im gonna give you is: VARIANCE.

You might be running poorly at NL50. You might not be a winning player at NL25 in the first place.

There is no such thing as crushing NL25 at 7.5 and losing at NL50 overall.

Play more at either level to find out (as long as your BR is able to take downswings at NL50).

I have the same problem. Playing NL25 at 6.3 BB/100 wih ease, but losing steadily at NL50.

I'm a German and I do not exactly understand what is meant with VARIANCE.

same as in German. Varianz. Es variiert. Die Ergebnisse sind nicht zuverlässig aufgrund mangelnder Datenmenge.

Anyways, recheck the answers.

I wouldnt even consider posting about why I suck without having played at least 50k hands on that level.

All I can see out of that is that your playing tighter at 50NL, and thats probably not why your loosing, unless you also play weaker. But as they said, variance.

How are your stats by position? Maybe you aren't protecting your blinds enough in NL50? Maybe your image is too tight at NL50, so you don't get paid off when you indeed have a monster; although the sample size isn't huge, we're still talking ~400 hands at NL50 that you folded pre-flop that you may not have NL25?

Thanks all for the answers.
I think that all of you are right about variance and it's amazing looking how can change the results.
JR you are right about the positional stats: in NL25 I have a net amount in the blinds of -1.12/432.9 (BB) and -152/246 (SB) while in NL50 those stats looks like -461/831 (BB) and -187/412 (SB): so while in BB I play in the same way in SB I'm more aggressive in NL25 or may be just try to see more pots when affordable.
Once I have read something about that by Pokey (link to the article)

log more hands. get more experience, also you could be a big winner at NL50 and just had a roungh 8,000 hands.

It took me two tries of having to move back down to NL25 to become a consistant winner at NL50. Now Im about to move up to NL200.

Its all about playing a ton of hands, and moving down when you dont have the money/are playing well/dont feel comfortable. and moving up when the opposite is true. Give it time and play a ton.

you win at 25 with 29/13/2. And you lose at 50 with 24/10/2. Read this by Pokey, good stuff.
