extracting the most chips with a monster
Early in the tournament. nothing known about the players at the table. I'm curious if there is a better way to play the monster here.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t20 (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) MP2 (t1240) Hero (t1440) Button (t1430) SB (t1860) BB (t4710) UTG (t1480) UTG+1 (t1450) MP1 (t3080) Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 4 folds, Hero raises to t80, 2 folds, BB calls t60. My thought was to check to the river, hope he catches something and then check raise. Re: extracting the most chips with a monster
OBV witht this hand your gonna sit on it and see what comes on turn/river. I think you played it pretty nicely. although id say in the future, that river raise was a bit too big. usually its best to extract 250 chips there, since you can get 250, a higher % of the time than say 500...
If you think you can get 250 30% of the time, then the % you can take 500, would have to be more than 15% of course. well played. usually when you have AA and flop quads your not gettin paid squat. so anytime you can extract chips is good. |

Re: extracting the most chips with a monster
Villain will probably value his king higher if you make a T100 C bet, since you probably would slow play trip aces or a boat.
I would Bet flop, if he calls, I can check behind on turn, encouraging him to make a valuebet on the river, which I can raise. I like the overbet on the river. |
