Repair my car before selling?
I recently moved into the city, no longer need a car and will be selling my 2001 Corolla.
The car was in good condition, 55k miles, with only a few minor isses (missing 1 hubcap, cracked front windshield also needs replacing.). Last night, my sister was borrowing it and backed into an SUV. Their is now some body and paint damage as a result. If I repair my car before selling will I get my money back or am I better off selling as is? |

Re: Repair my car before selling?
Depends on the damage, how you plan on fixing it (yourself, a friend, or the shop), and who is going to buy it (a random fool who doesn't know much about cars, a family member, etc).
Generally speaking, its better to fix it before you sell it, but its hard to say which route is better becuase it depends on the specifics. |

Re: Repair my car before selling?
Usually what you put into it you won't get back unless you do it \yourself or you got the car for a steal.
bumper/windshield probably around 1k, cars valued at what Condition Value Excellent $8,240 Good $7,645 Fair $6,910 that's kbb with ur car an auto. So pot odds it's up to u. If I were to sell a car I would do the windshield as that will turn off a lot of people, a little bumper damage is goign to happen in teh city anyways. gl |
