If I remember correctly, Drexler had the highest. They did some kind of dunk contest where they would raise the backboard I think to see who could dunk at the highest height, and he won.

[/ QUOTE ]

That means he had reach + vertical. It doesn't mean he had the highest vertical.

[/ QUOTE ]

that was the question ya stupid head

[/ QUOTE ]

Stupid head? Wow.

Actually, the question was about vertical. The person who replied talked about reach+vertical, not vertical. If someone could reach 14 feet and that was higher than anyone could jump, he wouldn't have the highest vertical, just the highest reach+vertical.

I'd go with Manute Bol for reaching with arm extended and a jump to reach the highest point.

He could jump 28 inches and beat Jordan jumping 60.

Highest vertical considering height today could be Nate Robinson. Maybe he will work on his vert during his suspension.

Sooner,

Maybe you should read the OP and then stick your foot in your mouth.

NOT HIGHEST VERTICAL, WHO CAN TOUCH THE HIGHEST POINT WAS THE DISCUSSION.

[/ QUOTE ]

No clue how believable it is, but in a Rucker Park documentary that I saw a few years ago, people recounted watching Connie Hawkins grab coins placed on the top of a backboard.

Dominique Wilkins apparently had a 48" vertical at 6-8 and could also pick quarters off the top of the backboard.

He had some dunks where his head and shoulders were completely above the rim.

Michael Wilson was also crazy.
