Sniper, can you explain what I'm missing about flat mode?

How do you make sense of threads when you can't tell who is responding to who? Everyone seems to love flat better than threaded, except me. So I must be missing something. I've tried it, but I hate not being able to follow a thread. Maybe it's better if you only want to respond to the OP? But even then, you won't be able to tell his response to you, because all responses are just put at the bottom of the thread with no indication for who they're responding to. Like I said, I must be missing something. Thanks.

It shows who they are responding to at the top of the post. Some folks use quick reply and include the the name of the person they are responding to in the post.

Thank god for flat mode or I'd still be reading the Brandi thread nonstop and only be halfway done.
