Default 50NL: Blind battle, I\'m SB w/ AKs

This is my 2nd hand at the table and BB is unknown. If I had to do it again I wouldn't cbet this flop, but I'm still learning whether or not to cbet different flops. Normally I'd call the min raise and c/f turn but he only bet 1/3 pot. Should I just fold to the min raise as played?

So you're folding to the flop min raise here?

That's a bad flop for your hand. I probably lay this down OOP after the minraise (I thought they stopped doing that at .25/.50). This is a nasty flop OOP. As played I check/fold the turn. This could also be some douche defending his blind poorly. I'd rather get a few more hands in before I start calling raises with A high.

Since there is no read on villain this could be bottom pair, a draw, or better. Yes it sucks folding to a minraise but it's hard to tell how many outs we have based on that we don't have any reads, and btw we don't even have a pair.

yeah, you are getting like 4:1, but your A/K might not be outs. It's close, calling isn't bad, but you could be getting yourself into trouble oop.

So whats the plan if I check the flop and he bet $3-4 into me? Just c/f flop to his bet?

yeah that would be an easier fold imo (worse odds), the main point here is that you are oop. Plus you only beat a bluff.

I haven't posted in quite a while, but I will give this one a try.

This could easily be blind defense, so the c-bet seems fine. It is a pretty draw heavy board and many calling hands could have hit it. I would fold to the min raise here unless the call is for image reasons. You have 3 jacks to the nuts and can't count your overcards as full outs and therefore really don't have the odds to call (you don't even if you count them as full outs).

IMO, the turn call is a huge leak. If you don't have reads and assume his as reasonable, you are drawing very thin here, and 1/3 of the pot should be enough. Save your money for a better spot.

Seeing the river action, I would put him on a queen, afraid of a ten, but maybe a missed draw.

I am interested to see what others think on this one.

This hand would've been much easier to fold if he just made a standard raise on the flop. Villains bet sizes screwed me up. Intitially c/f flop seemed like a weak line, but the more I think of it the more I like it. I'm OOP and I have A high, just let it go. Thanks for the insight guys
