Default Dell Boxing day deal on a Dell E228WPF 22\" LCD

It's $299 Canadian and only available Dec 26-27. Imo this is a no brainer purchase for me. It's gonna look goot besides my Dell 24". Getting ready for my switch to FTP in the new year and their non-resizable tables.

Holla

I believe this is a low end lcd though. TN panel? 6 bit? No usb ports or anything else fancy right?

Let me give you the product description, apparently it's a new offering by Dell:

The E228WFP 22'' Widescreen Flat Panel LCD Monitor from Dell™ improves productivity and helps users to enjoy the multimedia experience on their PC. It provides immersive multimedia/gaming experience and allows ease of photo/video editing. Featuring a slim black bezel design, the E228WFP fits into most working environments and on most desktops. It offers DVI (Digital Video Interface) connector with HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Copy Protection) that enables viewing of protected high-definition content such as HD-format video. Built-in power and cable management feature helps to keep desk clutter-free. Also, the display screen can be tilted 4° forward and 21° backwards for viewing comfort. This display is compatible with Dell™ AS501PA Flat Panel Attached Sound Bar (sold separately) that adds multimedia capabilities to the flat panel display. Dell™ branded monitors undergo exhaustive testing for performance, reliability, durability and compatibility with Dell™ systems.

Product Highlights

1680x1050 pixel resolution for clear, sharp images
Offers 300 cd/m² brightness and 800:1 contrast ratio
5 ms response time enables crisp and clear images
Viewing angles of 160° vertical and 160° horizontal
Digital DVI-D with HDCP connectors
Supported by Dell™ Technical Support

Regular price is $399.00

So you be the judge.

I don't see the deal yet posted on their website yet, I guess they gave subscribers to the dell.ca newsletter a special heads up. It's only available Dec 26-27, so 2+2er's are well within the know on this one.

Wouldn't 1600X1050 cut off the tables a bit when 4 tabling?

They're the same as the Chimei (CMV) monitors which are 6 bit I think.

not a big techie, but I think it might. For me, it would need to do 4 tabling without resizing. So I'm going to think about it myself.

You need 1600x1200 to 4-table with no overlap.
