Alright, I stick by Jamie Lee Curtis

[/ QUOTE ]

Halloween
My Girl
Fish Called Wanda - sequel = Fierce Creatures

But after reading I don't think the third counts. It's the same actors, but not the same characters.

Bison - if we qualify "lead" as "female lead" - I think you got it, Kirsten Dunst: Bring It On, Spiderman, Interview with the Vampire.

Female lead has to count

[/ QUOTE ]

Female lead counts, as long as she has majpr screentime. IE - the female lead in Hunt for Red October doesn't count. Nor do I think Kelley McGillis should for Top Gun. Witness yes, Top Gun, no.

To follow Swede's theme, I think Shannon Tweed could be well in the lead here.

If female lead counts:

Sally Field

Smokey & the Bandit
Homeward Bound (lead voice)
Mrs. Doubtfire (I cheated and saw this is in production)

Suzzer - then we have a winner for a chick. Dunst is the only one mentioned in this thread that really qualifies IMO. Because Fierce Creatures is just the same actors and producing team, but not a sequel in any way.

-Al

Edit - I donno if voice acting should count... seems kinda weak. Anyway if someone gets "lead" for a chick, like the actual lead role in the movie (e.g. Sigourney Weaver in Alien franchise), that would be impressive.
