Default What wires are needed to hook my laptop up to my TV?

Don't know why, I'd just like to play on the big screen sometimes when there's nothing good on. Can anyone tell me what the wires are called, or give me a link to them?

Probably s-video for the video, and a 3.5mm headphone jack to the red/white audio cables. Not sure what those are called, component cables maybe?

it depends on what input outputs your computer and tv have. This is the expensive way to do it and you certainly will be able to with this. http://www.shoptronics.com/pcvgacomotot.html
If you have an s-video out from your computer like I do, pick up an s-video cord at radio shack and go that route, assuming your tv can handle this as an input.

its called RCA-mini.

if you have a fairly modern, nice tv it should have a dvi in which you could hook your computer to. as far as audio goes, rca-mini is the way to go.

funny, i was just looking into this today at radioshack. if you want the tv to play the sound of your computer, you will probably need something like pc to component cables which radioshack sells for $100. if you dont mind having your computer speakers play the sound something as simple as an svideo cord will work. the resolution of your tv will only allow you to 1 table however.

Got the S-video cable and connected my computer to my TV, but do I have to set something on my computer so it shows on my TV?
