disagree. river push is fine if you think his range is predominantly small overpairs which will always check behind river. there is less than a PSB left. you can def push it in here for value...

you know there's a reason why cts titled the post "semibluff...bluff": the requisite table conditions for this being a value bet are almost in place.

i'm confused. are you agreeing with me or wit MDMA? MDMA said that he thinks pushing with AK on this river is alwaysa mistake and I was saying that it might be a good value bet under certain conditions. are you commenting on this debate? or still discussing cts' bluff? i'm just not sure what your comment was in reference to...

sorry, i thought you were talking about 77 being a value push here on cts' part (which obviously would be retarded). comment withdrawn.

there's only 3k left in a 5k pot and you have top-top. pushing is definitely not 'beyond horrible'.

cts's play was fine. AK's turn play was disgusting.

Why was AK's turn play disgusting ? isn't he getting like 4 to 1 on his call ?

3 to 1 plus implied odds. Turn is auto call by villian.

I think your line looks a lot like a bluff to this villain, esp with your image.

I don't know your game, but I doubt you are much more reckless than I am, and if I was in ur spot against that particular villain he would probably call the river push after calling turn.

edit- just read results. Maybe I am being results oriented but I think if villain plays Aks as such then he is certainly calling river with a big pair as well. And with the read that villain (apparently) had I don't mind his turn play either.

ok just to chime in... My thoughts in this hand ^^. I was trying to represent an overpair on the turn with the half pot bet. I felt at the time that if I potted the turn it would look less believable that I have an overpair.

I had a feeling my bet induced a bluff (because it was small). He was repping a straight. I didn't really believe him but I had odds to call for a spade. Then the river came. I made a tilt ass call. LOL.

If theres any better way to play the hand please tell me. and CTs im staying away from you now lol.

if you bet that small, it's to set-up a 3-bet allin. checkraiseallin works too. bet/calling is just pretty bad
