quoting this for truth.

also,

thanks for taking the time to listen to your users and for implementing things effectively. I appreciate that.

I also appreciate the fact that you've spelled out your position on the various bot/hud/pt issues. At least everyone can make an informed decision.

re:allowing users to change screen names - why is it wsex policy to restrict this? I find that it makes my general play much more difficult as the number of hands I log on the site increases.

An example:
I'm the type of player who likes to play a lot of headsup and very shorthanded. As such I tend to open empty tables and sit down, waiting for any players. I think I'm a pretty valuable type of player for your site.

the problem comes when I've already played lots of the other guys on the site headsup, and many of them have decided not to sit with me in a headsup situation. They'll play with me when enough other players are in the mix, just not headsup or sometimes three handed.

This makes it difficult to get a game started sometimes, because there will only be one or two games going. I can get on a list for the game that's running, though in my experience those seats don't exactly open up very quickly.

My general routine tends to be 1)get on a list, and 2)open a table and wait for someone to sit down. On a few occasions last week I actually found the games moving away from me. in other words, if I got a seat the game would eventually break and I'd be at the table alone. Then no one would sit with me. When I opened the lobby, I'd find one other game running, usually with a mix of players from the original game and new players. Still alone at one table I'd jump on the list for the new table. when I got on the game would break, and a new table would have formed.

I'm sure this is just a function of how small of a community this is right now, but I'm also sure that if I were allowed to change my screen name I'd be able to get into some games that are breaking on me right now.

Feedback: have you played WSEX recently? It's a ghost town. Lets not go putting more limits on it and drive more people off.

Yes, I play there most days, and the idea is to protect the player base and increase traffic in the long haul. Who would you lose by making the top game 15/30 (or 20/40)? A few super sharks, that's who. Sharks who very quickly eat any fish who venture into the shorthand higher stakes games that sometimes run.

But, I'm not interested in beating a dead horse. No one else likes the idea, that's fine. Just throwing out options. It's true, though that the strategy worked well for Party: I don't know why everyone would instantly dismiss it.

Your right. It doesn't seem long ago that 30/60 was the big limit game at Party with long waiting lists and only one/two/three tables. I think there is some merit in keeping the mid-limit games active by restricting higher limit games based upon mid-limit traffic.

By the way, where did the 10/20 full table limit games go on WPEX?

only 1 problem with this is PP actually had a playerbase to protect from busting.Wsex in the meantime is struggling to get new players. limiting the stakes will just piss off more people then it will attract, actually it wont technically attract new players.lol.

For what its worth, I think this is a bad idea and don't think it'll make much of an impact in terms of building the games.

The other day the only full game above 2/4 was the 30/60. Better to have that option than none at all. Were that game at 15/30, at least some of those players would be lost. Also, I'm not sure it is a fair characterization to call all the higher limit players/regulars "sharks".

If anything, the upper limit games, especially at 6 max seem to be reasonably well populated.

Can the FPPs be made worthwhile? Maybe trade them in for a deposit bonus in the sportsbook? I know with no rake you cant really have electronics etc, but i think a sportsbook bonus would be great for creating more book action and giving players something back
