General Observation

I'm not sure how good this observation is but I've noticed that in the bigger games, 50/100 and up, there seems to be a lot less 3+ betting preflop and a lot more players to the flop as opposed to the 5/10 and 10/20 games. Anyone feel the same way, and why is this?

Yeah I can't figure it out at all. I feel like a good laggy player would clean up these games.. they look easier than the old 10/20 party game at times... ofcourse this isn't the case, I just can't quite put my finger on it yet..

Not only that, but 3-betting pf isn't effective against them like it is in lower stakes games. In lower stakes games, if you 3-bet, it's profitable b/c of the fold equity alone, almost, especially if you time it well. But in those higher games, they are not afraid to play in a rr'ed pot. They know you don't have a premium if you 3-bet frequently, and they will own you. They don't underplay their hand just b/c you 3-bet pf. Basically what I'm saying is that in lower stakes games, 3-bets are still given too much credit (even though less than they used to be given), whereas if you try to push around Chip Reese or Phil Ivey, it's not going to be a fun strategy for you.

but if stacks are only 100bb or less (which alot of these games seem to be) there is alot of missed value on paper at least from the lack of 3 betting.
