Re: Yeah! Made set of Q\'s on turn--But also 4 to a straight. :(
1) Never cbet here. Fold the minute someone bets into you, this isnt your flop
2) No call here either. Most of your outs are probably dirty. 3) No call. Sorry, but you overestimated your (implied) odds here. You should've folded to BB's bet already |

with a bet and an all-in call before you this is an easy fold IMO with no reads to go on. BB definately has a J and waited to see if a club fell on the river b4 pushing

Re: Yeah! Made set of Q\'s on turn--But also 4 to a straight. :(
yes u should call turn u have lotta outs to filling up, aka u will stack any jack
i think a check on the flop is good and see how they react betsize compared to previous hands etc =/ and no do not call on the river he has a jack which was made obvious on the turn |

1)Do you cbet on this flop? 2)Getting 3 to 1, do you call the turn, hoping to fill up? 3) Getting 4 to 1, do you call the river? [/ QUOTE ] 1. No, but that's probably just my weak/tight tenancies. 2. Yes, all day everyday, and twice on Sundays. 3. No, not even on a Sunday. Results oriented outlook warning (but you showed results so meh): Your flop bet worked out OK because no one raised you. I don't think you could call a raise, so I'd rather see how the other players react to this monster flop. On the turn ANY broadway will likely give you at least a piece of this pot. A,K,T for the boat, Q for quads, and J for the nut straight. OK, a lot of those and probably in the other player's hands, and you're boat is not a great one, and your straight might split, but I think you have to call that turn. River is an easy fold; you're hand is no good here way more than 75% of the time. $0.02. How'd I do? |

Re: Yeah! Made set of Q\'s on turn--But also 4 to a straight. :(
C-bet is fine. This is a nasty board so a read from MP3 may turn it into a check. I still c-bet here more often than not.
Your stack size makes this close on the turn, IMO. You've only got 10.25 left if you make this call. You'll get BB to call almost always if you hit. But, your odds are a bit short. I think I call this on the turn. Fold the river, rebuy, repeat. |

Re: Yeah! Made set of Q\'s on turn--But also 4 to a straight. :(
1) No
2) *I thought this would be easy fold but I crunched numbers and turns out to be +EV. Someone please correct this if it wrong. You are ~4:1 against making the FH on the last card. If you make the FH, and he calls your river bet EVERY time, you will make 32 in the pot and 10 more from BB on the river. So when you make the FH 20% of the time, you win 42 dollars. When you don't make it (and fold to ALL river bets) you lose 8 dollars (turn call) X 4 = 32 dollars. So total EV is 42-32=10 dollars 3) Fold. |

Im still learning this game and just moved up to $10NL but once the turn brings you a set, not seeing the river card is a disaster.

Re: Yeah! Made set of Q\'s on turn--But also 4 to a straight. :(
Just check the flop. I don't like c-betting as much, tons of hands call (1 pair + draw, ie. KJ,etc) and you often won't know if your facing Ax or KJ or what. I doubt he's shoving the river with a hand you beat.

Re: Yeah! Made set of Q\'s on turn--But also 4 to a straight. :(
1) I don't cbet OOP on this board with 2 opponents. I just check/fold, this is as bad as the flop can be.
2) I think I can find a fold here with 2 opponents in the pot. The reason is that I'm not sure your FH outs are clean. Someone may well have two pair, in which case an A or a K could give them a better FH fairly easily. I think that makes this a thin fold. 3) I probably fold, frustrating as it is. |
