TD: Beginner\'s questions on line
Only been playing it limit for a week or so, still trying to learn. Opponent in this hand seemed to have been in pretty much every hand so far, but I'd only been there for a few orbits, and we'd been 3 or 4 handed most of it.
Things that occured to me as I played the hand: - Should I have raised pre 1st Draw? - Can I call after 1st and 2nd draws? - Is betting out better after the 3rd? - Should I have taken the 3-bet at the end as signalling I'm beat? Any other horrible mistakes please let me know. Triple Draw 2-7 Lowball Limit ($1/$2) (converter) SB ($96.25), Seat 5 Hero ($44), Seat 6 UTG ($38.50), Seat 1 CO ($66.75), Seat 3 Button ($29.50), Seat 4 Button at Seat 4. SB posts $0.50. Re: TD: Beginner\'s questions on line
I think you played this hand well. Your questions all depend very much on your opponent, the fact that he plays a lot of hands isn't nearly as important as how he plays them. Does he tend to go pat with very rough hands or does he show up with premium hands when he is pat? Have you seen him raise on the end with a weakish hand (an 86 or worse might qualify)? VS an unknown I think you played it perfectly but reads on his tendencies could swing things. The one that is close is whether to bet out on the end or go for the checkraise - this depends on what he'll bet if you check, again something to pay attention to and make notes on.
