Default Getting Raked hard at .05/.10 nl ring, should I change blinds?

Looking over my pokertracker info, I have won 12.60 at .05/.10 nl ring games on stars, and I have been raked 11.30 during 1.2k hands. At .02/.05 I won 4 and got raked 1.95 in 400 hands, And at .01/.02 I won 27 bucks and raked 4.10 in 2k hands

I would like to continue to move up, will going to .10/.25 or even .25/.50 help me retain more of my winnings?

Just wondering what you guys have experienced.

My Br has been taking a couple hits, I might pound it out at .01/.02 again till I hit double up so I can play a full buy-in at the .25/.50 cent nl cash ring game.

Thanks,

Kmon

Uh, one full buy in is about 5% of what you need.

This makes me laugh. You double up at NL 2 so you can play a full buy-in at NL 50? That is the most craziest shot taking I have ever seen and it might even work !

@ Limits

It is true that the rake on the lower NL limits is pretty insane on some sites, party and stars from my experience.

I've played probably 5k-10k hands on .25/.50 nlhe cash games, 2x tables at a time on prima poker. I've played well there.

But I'm just up in the air about dropping back down to .01/.02, It's just hard to concentrate with such small blinds. But I know I can play 4x tables at a time so I might just do that.

I know that it comes down to how much I want to gamble, but I'm pretty sure that if at any time I would try to make a jump up to a lot higher blind I would like to do it when I'm playing my best poker and on a winning run.

We'll see what happens, I'm going to play some .01/.02, see how i play if it's solid and when I finish the green book I might take a shot.

It's just hard to see half you money go to rake.

Thanks for your responses.

Isn't the rake 5% for all NL games on stars?

5% any pot over a dollar i believe. Well yeah there is no rake for stuff under a dollar.

An Update, I just jumped up to .10/.25nl ring. Competition isn't anything I can't handle, smarter players but same basics apply. I'm at 27bb/100 hands. rake is at about 1/4 profits. I still have enough left over if I get wipped out for good old .01/.02, and I played that for 4 tables for 20 minutes I was going nuts. I'm glad I moved up, some of the reading will actually pay off with players that don't play as much junk and can fold.

I've played just under 55k hands at .10/.25 NL on stars and have paid $850 in rake which is like 3/4 of my profit sooooo yeah low limits get stuck. Low micros/low limits drive the industry though soooo do your part I guess.
