I can't think of a worst but by far THE BEST EVER is...

The Dismemberment Plan's cover of The Cure's Close to Me.

It's such a markedly different sound that still works sooooo well and still captures the original's pathos. Beautiful...

Woah Woah Woah. I like DMB as much as anyone, but Hendrix's is far superior

Gillian Welch doing Radiohead's Black Star. I was at the show, and it blew me away.

Authority Zero has a great cover of Wall of Voodoo's Mexican Radio. Recent cover of Listen to Your Heart is awful.

best: Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower

Worst: that remake of Frampton's Baby I Love Your Way by the Godawful Soulsuckers. Okay, I don't remember the name of that travesty of a "group," but it should've been the Godawful Soulsuckers.

Wasn't it UB40? I know they covered "Can't Help Falling in Love" but they sound similar.

Worst: Whichever man-pleaser covered More Than Words by Extreme

Best: too many good ones to name (I like VACO's Africa Cover, Ben Harper's Sexual Healing Cover, Watchtower covers from everyone from Hendrix to Michael Hedges to DMB, etc) but I'll go with the flava of the day and say My Prerogative by Britney Spears
