Default Recovering AIM sessions?

I had an important AIM session I wanted to save, but before I could do so, my computer froze and I had to restart it. Is there anyway to get this back or is it gone forever?

Thanks

Default Re: Recovering AIM sessions?

AFAIK, the text is cached in RAM until the end of the session.

IMO, GAIM does a better job logging (and works with several IM networks, supporting multiple simultaneous logins on some). The drawback to GAIM is you can't use "advanced features" of some IM clients...like webcam and "audibles" on yahoo, netmeeting on MSN, etc...if you're using it for strictly chat and have several IM accounts, GAIM is awesome.

As for the logging, I'm not certain GAIM logs every line as it's sent/received...but I DO know it has saved conversations I've had that would have been gone using the AIM client (chat windows open, comp auto-reboots after a 3AM update). Sorry I don't have more details on the logging...it may only be marginally better than the standard AIM client and you may still lose conversations in crashes, I'm not sure. The conversation you had, though, to the best of my knowledge, is gone
