Default Turn semi-bluff shove

Villain has been fairly snug over a small sample.

I doubled up w/ 22 when I hit a set and stacked KK. Been my usual t(sl)ag self but this is my 1st 3bet so my hand range should seem fairly small to him.

Just to clarify it's about 135 for him to call.

Watcha think his range is on the turn?

How much of it do you reckon I can fold v a tightish unknown?

Is checking better?

Paul

I like it. If you check the turn, you may not get paid off on the river anyway. A huge part of his range is OC w/FD so all of that is folding, and 88/TT/JJ is folding too.

Well, since I make plays like this rather often, I love it. I think it indeed folds out some strong big pairs. My mistake is running into sets too often when I do this. But I think it's +EV; Villain can't call without a monstrous pair at a minimum.

I'd play it the same, and I think it folds out anything but QQ+/set.

I wonder what has more FE, a push or a smaller (~$90?) bet? Thoughts?

But yeah, I'm always betting this turn, and also betting it some % of the time that I don't pick up a FD

I always figured that betting a specific amount was better than pushing when bluffing. For some reason I tend (although far from always) to shove when I want a big hand to look bluffy and bet an exact sum when I really would prefer him to fold.

Here I bet enough to show that I am committed to an allin so that he knows that he is playing for his stack but has 0% fold equity. Has the added effect of perhaps saving a few $s if he just calls again and I brick.

As played, it's probably good. He should be able to fold TT/JJ to your push. Flop bet is probably -EV against a snug villian unless you are willing to fire again.
