Re: Trying to learn when to check the turn
[ QUOTE ]
Am I the only one who fold pre-flop? KJO is not exactly a great hand. In LP I am raising 1st in, but MP1? I am mucking it. [/ QUOTE ] Depends on the table. I'd say it's a close decision though. It's gotta be raised if played at all there. We raise KQ utg and utg1, so having those two hands fold can't make opening with KJ in MP1 too much worse. Basically, our expectation isn't greatly affected by the decision to play it there. I've both folded and raised it from MP1 so again, neither decision is horrible. |

Re: Trying to learn when to check the turn
pf and flop are fine.
turn could go either way. betting could be good, checking could be good. if he's weak postflop i'll definitely bet. |

Re: Trying to learn when to check the turn
Check. He doesn't have a draw, since there are no draws on the flop. His most likely hand is something like 77 or Ax, and if he has 4x, you're getting check/raised. (Which is not that bad, 'cause you're drawing dead anyway.)
