this made me happy.
I've been trying to clear my bonus faster, since I still got 200 to go by January. So, I decided to use Ed Miller's short stack strat at 100nl to really build up that rake. It was going really good, and I won a 3 way AI with AK on this table to get me a real stack. I decide to play some real poker to see how I would do.

Yay for reads. MP2 actually said he was gonna raise it up next hand after calling everyone at the table a nit. MP3 is a thinking player who realizes Ax is probably good against MP2. (I think)

some happy time earnings in a real short(10-15 minute) session. hopefully variance has made its way to someone else.

i waited almost an entire orbit to post blinds in turn, then some donk leaves and i get skipped, so i post out of order. i stated in the chat i was probably dominated but i called him down just in case.

i normally never call proper raises with smallish pocket pairs. after reading a ton on the forum, i decided to give it a go, sweet deal for me. there was quite a bit of chat after this hand about what i might have had, some villians put me on KJ, the villian in the hand said he was laying down a good hand so i figure KK, AK, or something close to that. he called me lucky for hitting my two pair and said later that he laid down a hand that was beat by two pair. i was getting so much respect and it was one of my first hands at the table. wish he would have put me on a weak A or something, i wanted more moolah. was the river bet too small? obviously he didnt call it so i didnt get any extra value from the bet even though it was only a little more than half pot. he took forever to make a decision so he was on the border line wondering what i had.

im wondering if i would have raised the flop or turn would he have put me on a lesser hand than his and call my river bet or push on me? would i have pushed the third person out of the pot and thus lost some of the money i would have otherwise made since we were three handed to my river bet.

checked top pair on the flop because of it being all clubs, bet the turn since nobody wanted to play, one caller, nice little value bet on the river thinking maybe a missed club draw, although he might have had a straight now cause of the 10JQ out there. obviously he didnt...

@tehdiceman,

I don't know if you want to hear this, but I don't like your play at any of those hands, you won that is good, but not because of your flawless play . I understand these are the $2nl tables, and you can't play 20/15 or something like that but you almost look like a calling station in those hands. Especially the hand where you have trips, do you want them to hit their flush?

Danny, you played this hand perfectly.

What the hell do you guys put villain on? We beat ever pocket pair, and lose to a runner runner straight which was min raising the flop? Come on.

Hero had the [censored] nuts in this hand and was absolutely coolered. He should have been cheering at getting his money in on the river.
