This thread rocks, but it's losing a little life and we really need something new to happen. FWIW - I was one of the supposed 'gullible idiots' who expressed their sympathies for her original-post and hoped she would get things back on track. But expressing well-wishes doesn't mean that I didn't have some doubts about the legitimacy of her story. I do not regret accepting some of her word at face-value until proven otherwise and treating her with some degree of respect. and listening to her story certainly doesn't mean I would give her any of my money (although perhaps other people really did transfer some dough to her). If she wanted to get back on track she could get a job like a normal person. I'm an idiot in many respects. But I don't think that listening to her story is one of those ways. And if it is, it's certainly not as idiotic as some of the behavior exhibited by many of the participants in this drama. |
