Default KK on satellite bubble

I really felt like kicking myself in the head after this hand. I think this was a tilt call after the longest bubble in history with suckout after suckout from the short stacks. I should have folded this, right?

6 seats paid:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t2000 (7 handed) internettexasholdem.com

UTG (t24142)
MP1 (t18805)
MP2 (t19937)
CO (t36859)
Button (t29610)
Hero (t28587)
BB (t26060)

Preflop: Hero is SB with : Kc Kh
2 folds, MP2 raises to t19837, 2 folds, Hero calls t18837, 1 fold.

Yes, it's a fold. AA is probably a fold here too, might be a call though.

At what point to blinds and antes come into play? I know I don't need the chips from winning the pot but just a couple of orbits would put a huge dent in my stack.

2000/4000 might be worth worrying about, but usually someone else will screw up and go busto before you get there.

I mean, there's no microstacks, so you can't be totally passive in this case, but when you enter a pot, you basically want to be the first enter it from late position, and just get in occasional steal to stay alive if necessary.

how often are your blinds being raised?

if it is a lot then you should wait it out because someone will wake up with a hand while someone else is on a blind steal

if your blinds are rarely being stolen then you should wait it out because you aren't losing any chips per round
