Well, thatīs really not all the truth.
In Spain the gaming laws are competency of each one of the 17 states, and only 2 of them had regulated the online gambling, one of them being Madrid. In the other 15 states, all non regulated online poker is illegal. |

I don't have all the information but what I have it seems that in Catalonia (Barcelona) it has been legal to gamble, while now with this new law (starting next year perhaps) it would be legal to play in all of Spain (though every region/state can make it differently) e.g. especially online but only if the site has the Spanish Gaming license.
(Maybe one can play at other sites too using a proxy but if one pays taxes of it there's a good chance especially if documentation is asked or one gets audited - that's likely on jobs like poker - that one needs to present documents and then it will not be on the legal list, so one needs to win the case then that it's legal to use a proxy as the national laws end to that proxy server, but that's just an argument.) |
