Default My C drive is constantly being filled up by something

I frequently got the C: is low on disk space yellow bubble in the bottom right corner. I checked my C: drive and I had 0 bytes free. Yes, 0. So I deleted a 1 gb video. I come back on the computer next morning and the pop up message is there again. I check C: drive, and it has 0 bytes free again! What?! So I delete about 150 mb of programs and leave the computer. Come back 2 hours later, and once again, C drive is 100% full. I ran spyware, adware, and virus check and there were no viruses and only tracking cookies found by the spy/adware programs.

So once again, I am 0 free space on my C drive and I have no idea why all of my space keeps disappearing. What is going on and what can I do?

Thanks

I could list a bunch of possibilities but the easiest way to find out for sure is to do a search under my computer>>search>>advanced options for files bigger than 50MB. If nothing looks out of the ordinary the problem is multiple small files, check your settings for your temporary internet files, that would be the next most likely cause.

Could be browser history, browser cash, page file size for XP, possible program update unziping in a temp directory.

You could always see which programs are loading on startup.

Having no knowledge of OPs computer knowledge my guess would be that you're not emptying the recycling bin.

At least, if my parents called me up and said exactly what the OP said, I'd be 99% sure that was the problem. If you actually checked the space on your hard drive after deleting and there was free space, then obviously this isn't the answer.
