Re: NL50 - Kings
This seems like a standard fold to me, even though I'm not sure what is up with SB's $5 post flop bet, or what is going on with your raise to $13?
He has AJ-AK 90% of the time IMO. |

Re: NL50 - Kings

Re: NL50 - Kings
Standard fold -we beat very little.
-looks like either AJ+, Ax weak kicker/fdraw or set.(maybe AA) given that villan's weak bet raised shove line is usually means a monster. |

Re: NL50 - Kings
I'd just call the flop bet. A raise is only folding hands you beat and getting called by hands that beat you.

Re: NL50 - Kings
but calling dont give me any information i think... if i had called that down with KK it would be much more expensive, just to see his Ax ....
and maybe i can get some weaker aces to fold with a raise... |

Re: NL50 - Kings
I'd play this the same, maybe raising the donk bet on the flop up closer to 2/3 pot, but this looks fine to me.

Re: NL50 - Kings
Why raise the flop? Why not just call? That's what I'd do with an Ace.

Re: NL50 - Kings
If he's going to call that massive preflop reraise he certainly isn't going to let it go on the flop when he's hit his top pair.
Certainly some reads would help here. Exactly how loose is this guy? What range are you putting him on? If he's like the typical 50nL player, his range is 1010-AA, KQs, A10-Up. AA is terribly unlikely, so disregard it. You also can't imagine he has KK. 1010, JJ, QQ? His flop bet could possibly make sense if he feels strongly you have a pair (not the A) and wants to rep the A. The correct play would be here to call IMO. If you raise, he's going to 1) fold or 2) call off more chips (although this would be extremely donkeyish and unlikely if he lead the flop with it) So you lose money. If he's got the Ace, there's no way in hell he's going to fold it. Call and evaluate the turn. |
